Bouclé is one of those fabrics that does the work for you — the looped, textured surface gives a coat depth and character without any need for pattern or hardware to carry it. Ours is a soft gray with a notch collar, cut clean and a little relaxed, in a bouclé made in Italy from 100% recycled PET.

The looped yarns make for a surface with real texture and a sturdy, substantial weave, and behind it sits a 60g thermal lining in 100% recycled polyester to keep the warmth in through the colder months. It fastens on four matte-finish buttons in recycled compressed paper and resin — you can close it right up to the throat when the weather turns — with two deep cotton-lined pockets to keep your hands and essentials warm. Inside, a smooth viscose lining lets it slip on and off over knitwear.

The gray is easy to build around: over a pale knit and leather-look pants with tall boots, or a sweater and jeans for something more relaxed. It sits as happily over tailoring as it does over the weekend version — a soft, textured coat that lifts whatever's underneath without asking for attention.

This product is ethically made in Italy under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan throughout, from the outer fabric to the lining and trims. It's delivered to you in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging. We measure the emissions from making and delivering it, and work to a plan to reduce them.

Caring for your vegan wool coat: Dry clean. A tailored coat carries interfacing, canvassing and structure through the chest and shoulders, and washing distorts all of it in a way that can't be pressed back. Between cleans, a soft clothes brush after wear lifts dust and keeps the surface fresh, and small marks lift with a barely damp cloth and patience. Hang on a broad wooden or shaped hanger so the shoulders hold their line, and steam rather than iron to drop creases. Store in a breathable garment bag rather than plastic, which traps moisture.

How to take your measurements

Using a flexible tape, measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape close under the arms and flat across the back. Measure your waist at its narrowest point, and your hips around the fullest part. If you fall between two sizes, we recommend sizing up.

We hand measure all items to help you find the right fit. These are the measurements of the garment itself, not body measurements, so the easiest way to use them is to compare them with a similar garment you already own. Lay it flat and take all measurements from the outside.

Our clothing is handmade, so there may be minor variations from piece to piece that won't affect the overall fit.
